Apartment 1B: As How Breakfasts Should Be

One morning, I just stood up from my desk and I decided I want to have a nice, hearty breakfast.

And that's easily the best decision I made that day.

I head over to Apartment 1B, sat down, and had the best breakfast I've had for a while. I ordered Eggs Benedict with Smoked Salmon (Php 460), along with a glass of fresh Calamansi Juice (Php 90).

My Eggs Benedict came with a simple side salad. Simple as it may be, I loved it nonetheless as the greens were fresh and crunchy and it threw additional flavor to my dish. The potatoes were nicely cooked and cut in huge chunks, just the way I like it.

But the eggs. Wow. I have learned that poached eggs are not as simple as it seems and so many restaurants just don't do it right. But the one on my plate that morning was simply divine. I cut through it and my egg yolk oozed with liquid perfection. Just the mere memory of it makes me want to cry. The hollandaise sauce was not too overpowering and the salmon was equally delectable.

These are the times I remember why I love food, and yes, I think I'll stay in love for a long, long time <3
