OTJ

I've been reading great reviews about this movie, and so I decided to go finally see it this weekend with my Dad.

Wow, it deserves all the accolades it's getting. Story and script were very convincing and compelling, something you don't always see with local movies. Casting was perfect; Piolo as the brooding NBI agent, Joel Torre as the seasoned hitman, Angel  Aquino's always been a great actress, Gerald as the apprentice hitman. But for me, it was Joey Marquez who delivered and was such a revelation. He was a natural and was really into the character.

And as they say art imitates life as much as life imitates art; the movie portrayed a realistic, and depressing glimpse of the country's political and social landscape. It's quite sad how corruption is deeply integrated within our culture, and how it blurs the line of our family values.

Please watch it; these are the kind of movies we'd really like to encourage.
