I will write a separate post for the movie (which I loved, btw), but this post will be about my experience watching movies on a lazy afternoon on a weekday. I realized this is the first time I did this, and it's quite an interesting experience. I think it's a foregone fact that there is far less people watching as everybody else is at work or at school. The crowd was mostly comprised of senior citizens with their spouses or their barkada. Interestingly, I was the only one who watched it alone; everybody else was with somebody. It was futile exercise to choose a seat when getting the ticket as I could have sat anywhere I wanted. It was also notable that most people sat at the sides or near the aisle, I was was the only one who sat at the middle part. Of course it was relatively quiet, and a little colder too.
So would I watch again at a time like this - on a working weekday, in the afternoon?
Oh definitely! People say that one of the reasons we watch movies is to escape reality, and we don't exactly want to bring everybody with us in our escape, eh?
